from 28 reviewsI recently received my RemigoOne along with an upgraded charger and remote. This is an extremely well designed lightweight outboard and has performed as advertised. Removing my relatively new gas powered engine and replacing it with the RemigoOne was very satisfying on multiple levels.
Fantastic motor to replace my heavy gas powered 3.5 hp. Gone are the problems of hard starting, water in the gas and gas storage problems. The quality of this motor is impressive.
Performance so far has been great - better than advertised. I'm using it on a NorseBoat 17.5 (~700-800 lbs displacement) and it'll go for hours cruising at 30% power. The motor's weight and balance make it easy to carry and attach/detach. I did add a safety line in case a sheet snags the motor and rips it free from the boat (it happens). Easy to store in an indoor closet so the battery isn't exposed to temperature extremes. Recently added the remote and it's well worth it - I can sit further forward and keep the boat better balanced. Looks great - doesn't detract from my boat's classic lines.
I must say that I've had an extraordinary experience with Remigo Service. A new owner of the Remigo engine and the associated Remote, I couldn't get them to pair. I contacted Service (Peter) who, via WhatsApp video, walked me through the pairing set up. To his astonishment, we ended up with the same result. He contacted Service in Europe, who contacted me via WhatsApp also and we walked through the steps, away from the engine. All proper lights responded to the testing. They suspected that sunlight may be the culprit - washing out the lighted responses on the Remote. Staying with me via WhatsApp, I walked out to the dock, followed the instructions and, voila, all worked. The problem was sunlight, not systems failures.
Remigo Service stayed with me the whole way and patiently and tirelessly worked the problem.
I highly recommend them.
I’ve been using the RemigoOne on my J/80 for a few weeks, and it’s excellent. It outperforms the 2.5HP gas outboard I used before — without the fuel storage, carb issues, or maintenance headaches.
The design and build quality are superb. It’s compact, easy to lift, carry, and maneuver. The balanced weight and tiller handle make it much easier than other motors to remove or reinstall on the transom, even underway — a huge plus since J/80 One Design rules require storing the motor below during races.
Performance is just right for the J/80, which at 26 feet feels like the upper limit of the motor’s power. Even with headwind and chop, it pushes the boat just under 4 knots; in calmer conditions, it cruises in the mid-4-knot range. The optional remote is phenomenal and worth every penny.
Highly recommend this for racing sailors looking for a compact, reliable outboard.
I absolutely love it. I'm using it in a fairly unique way on a nice tandem sculling (rowing) boat. First run exceeded expectations. We didn't want to stop exploring. We get home and the battery is still fully charged!!
Used it for the first time and couldn't be happier with how the controls worked and the quality of the overall motor.
This motor is awesome ! Everyone in my neighborhood wants one !
Purchased the RemigoOne for my small inflatable dinghy. Only used it once, so far, but I sense that it has plenty of power to get my wife and me off the sailboat to where we need to go. I did not purchase the remote--because it was not in stock--but I quickly saw the need to have one. It's just a little awkward at first, to find and activate the controls (fwd and rev) while still steering to your spot on the stern or dock. I believe I will get better at it the more I do it. Also, the cushioned carry bag was out of stock as well. (Glad to see the replacement propellers are NOT out of stock, as that would be taken as a bad sign...) I purchased a long, padded, soft-sided rifle case that fit very well. It holds the motor, bracket, tools, manuals, and kill switches. Only the tiller/handle sticks out, but it is still very functional. The key was to protect the body of the motor and the propeller. So far so good!
Remote was easy to install, set up and operate. It will allow me to sit further forward and keep the boat better balanced. Tested the MOB feature with the boat on dry land and the the engine stopped when I was about 40-50 feet away - distance would probably be less in the water. One tip - if the remote is attached to the tiller, don't grab the remote to "pump" the tiller - the remote will release from it's magnetic mount (even though it's a strong magnet). Better to grab just behind it.
The Remigo is a vast improvement overly Nissan 3 1/2 hp outboard. It is quiet, doesn't pollute, is lighter and more manageable. I highly recommend it to all yachtsmen. The range is very good when fully charged. Also the remote makes handling my pram much easier.
Received bag and was pleasantly surprised. Bag is fully lined with internal straps to hold the motor in place, external pocket for the charger. If you're going to be moving it around, would highly recommend.
Well designed little outboard, the rudder shape assists with steerage in low speeds. Bought this for my 10ft inflatable, easy to take off and put on the boat, operation button and battery lights are well thought out. Estimated time on website seems to be accurate. Would highly recommend!
Is there an option to have steering & acceleration on a handheld remote??? please say yes..Also it looks like an awesome product that i cant wait to buy and install on my fishing boat for trolling!!
Great product and excellent service!

Hugo Andreae for Motor Boat & Yachting Review
The Remigo outboard gives roughly 3hp but it feels so much more finely responsive than any petrol powered unit I’ve used.
Fox Morgan, test and review for Yachting Monthly
After 35 minutes of driving, of which at least 20 minutes were at full power, we only used up one bar of the charge out of 10.
Teo Marević for More Magazin
We use the Remigo on a small inflatable and it is working perfectly. The battery life is great, it has plenty of power and prefer to run it at 5 green bars on the display.

GOT QUESTIONS?
The RemigoOne achieves a top speed of approximately 5 knots, offering a range of about 5 nautical miles over 1 hour. At a cruising speed of 3 knots, it can cover up to 14 nautical miles in approximately 4 hours. For extended journeys, operating at an economy speed of 2 knots allows for a range of up to 30 nautical miles over 15 hours.
Charging times for the RemigoOne vary based on the charger used:
- Standard AC Charger (100–240V): Approximately 6 hours (included).
- Fast AC Charger (optional): Approximately 3 hours.
- DC Charger (12–24V, optional): Approximately 10–12 hours.
In terms of longevity, we use premium LG cells, rated for 1000 cycles (before they reach 80% of capacity). What this means is that if you’re charging it each day 0% to 100% for 100 days per season, it will last for 10 years before experiencing significant capacity loss. Lifetime of the batteries is affected by many other factors such as storage voltage, temperature, charging speed, cycle depth, etc. Consult the user manual for detailed instructions on how to extract the maximum lifetime from your battery pack.
The RemigoOne features a watertight unibody constructed from marine-grade aluminium, providing durability and resistance to corrosion. It boasts an IP67 rating, ensuring protection against water ingress, and includes anodes for additional corrosion protection in saltwater conditions.
Yes, the RemigoOne is designed to be highly versatile and works with most small boats. It’s compatible with:
-
Dinghies, inflatable boats, and sailboats up to 25 feet (7.6 metres) or 1.5 tons in weight.
-
Standard transoms between 12 mm and 65 mm thick — thanks to a clever two-part mounting system.
The transom bracket stays on the boat, and the motor easily clips in and out.
-
Various transom heights, thanks to a stepless adjustable shaft, which covers the equivalent of short, long, and extra-long shafts (15 to 30 inches).
